The concept of the commissioned work/s is entirely up to you. For some ideas and styles to spark the imagination please see the examples on the Previous Commissions page. Designs and concepts can be sent to Artistic Flourish in the form of a photograph, a sentence or even a quick sketch. We will work with you to ensure that the idea you have becomes a brilliant piece for your home or the perfect gift.

It is essential the artist knows the types of surrounding furniture and the colour of the wall the artwork is to be hung on to ensure the artwork compliments the environment it is to be displayed in. For artworks to be hung in an office environment we suggest that a collection of ideas be voted on by staff and management to ensure that the artworks lighten everyone’s day and produce that professional or trendy look for your workplace.

Payment methods

Our preferred payment methods are PayPal and Bank Deposits (EFT). Paypal is a free service for you to sign up to and enables you to pay us, and many other businesses, with your credit card or direct deposit details. We also accept Cheques and Australia Post money orders.

Prices

The price of each painting is as per the price guide below which is based upon the canvas size of the proposed artwork. Painting sizes will be mutually determined by yourself and the artist. Our pricing is competitive with photo to canvas printing costs. To receive a quote, please contact us.

When you commission an artwork you will be quoted for the total cost of the artwork, of which a 20% non-refundable deposit is immediately payable to cover the materials to be used. The artwork will be created and a photo sent to you of the completed work for approval. An invoice for the final payment will be drawn up at this time to notify you of the remaining 80% plus postage owing. Final payment of the remaining 80% plus postage is payable prior to delivery.

Process

You can commission a single artwork or a series of works to be created by an artist of Artistic Flourish simply by completing the online order form or by contacting Artistic Flourish on sales@artisticflourish.com.au. An artist of Artistic Flourish will contact you to discuss the idea, the style most suitable and any other issues relating to the chosen subject matter.

commission

Framing can be arranged, if required, at the competition of the artworks to ensure that the frame matches the artwork, the surrounding environment and your own tastes. All artworks will be produced on the basis that they will not be framed to reduce postage costs. All paintings can be hung immediately if desired, with or without a frame. All drawings are sent without frame in Australia Post packing tubes to ensure safe handling and delivery.

Expected Timeframes

Artworks can take anywhere from 2 weeks to a month to complete and deliver. We will however strive to meet any deadlines required, for example, if the painting is for a wedding gift, an anniversary or moving in present. All artworks will be completed to a professional standard within the timeframe quoted.

Refusal of Artwork

Artistic Flourish will create artworks for you once ordered with the understanding that these will be purchased when finalised. However, if, after the work is completed, you do not wish to purchase any or all of the works, you have first right of refusal, on an individual basis, of each created artwork. In this case, the artist will retain the refused artwork and the non-refundable 20% deposit. The artist also has the right to sell this as an original artwork on the online gallery at an entirely new price. This will be done free of any claims or interests by you and you will owe no additional fees to the artist. A refusal will not affect the purchase price of other created artworks in this project.

Copyright

The artist reserves the common-law copyright to all works commissioned, including all reproduction rights and the right to claim statutory copyright. No work may be reproduced by the customer or Artistic Flourish without the prior written approval of artist. Please see Artistic Flourish’s Copyright Notice for more information.
